Food hygiene legislation changed in early 2006 and new requirements that came into force affect YOU.
In particular there is one major new requirement: if you run a food business you will need to have a documented Food Safety Management System based on the principles of HACCP. You can do this quickly and easily by ordering and using the 'Safer Food Better Business' pack which comes in 2 versions:
For caterers (those with a full kitchen)
For retailers (those with a bar top solution)

Registration of premises (28 days before starting) used for a food business is required by law. Registration will allow local authorities to keep an up-to-date list of all those premises in their area so they can visit them when they need to. Any changes to the business must be given to the local authority including change of tenant.
