The success of every business is dependent upon its customers.
- How often do your current customers use your pub?
- What is the proportion of regulars to occasional customers?
- What are the different customer profiles?
- Why do they come to your pub rather than the one down the road?
- What do they want to eat?
- Why do some people prefer to use one of your competitors?
- Why is it that you attract or deter a particular type of customer?
Also remember that you need to regularly collect customer data, this has two purposes:
1. It enables you to better understand who your customers are and what they want
2. It enables you to be able to communicate with them via email or direct mail in the future.
This is particularly useful for specific promotions or specials you may be running, such as a set menu on Valentines Day, or your Christmas meal offer.
